Rights on the Move. Human Mobility and Interculture

THE THEME AND THE FILMS

"Rights on the Move. Human Mobility and Interculture" is the third double feature of CINEMA DOCET. Screenings on current events at UniBg. To mark the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, Steve McQueen's 12 Years a Slave, a three-time Oscar-winning film, will be screened on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, while Wednesday, March 27, 2024, will be the turn of Nezouh - The Hole in the Sky, a 2023 film directed by Soudade Kaadan.

PARTNERS AND GUESTS

The screenings are organized in collaboration with Alessandra Ghisalberti, professor of Economic-Political Geography in the Department of Foreign Languages, Literatures and Cultures, and Paola Scevi, professor of International Criminal and Migration Law in the Department of Law and director of the Master's Program in Migration Law. Don Sergio Gamberoni, director of the Office for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Coordinator of the FILEO Project of the Diocese of Bergamo, will also speak as part of the two screenings.

THE INITIATIVE.

CINEMA DOCET is a series of film screenings promoted by the CiMAv - Cinema and Audiovisual Media research group of the University of Bergamo as part of the university's public engagement activities. The initiative aims to involve civil society (citizens, schools, associations, institutions, etc.) in a dialogue and reflection around issues of relevant civil and social impact.

Access to the screenings is free and does not require reservations. The screenings take place in Room 1 of the University of Bergamo's Via Pignolo 123 campus.
